my guess is that cam will have to sit out this year and play his senior year unless his mother can convince the lhsaa differently

Damage control, JJ, damage control. If it's true, he's done for this year. Momma supposedly got a shiny new job at a WM mortgage company as well and was helped with finding the new apartment. Lot of smoke going with this already. Carr and Guice won't let this go down without a fight and both are good friends with Henderson and Vidrine.

Always thought you were a WM fan. Guess I had you confused with someone else.

JJ you said u got it for someone in the family that wouldn't lie to you. Well if it comes down to my son having to sit a year or possibly getting in major trouble with the LHSAA there is a good chance I may even tell my dad a little white lie in order to keep the football police off my back. This kid has major upside and they aren't going to chance the wrong thing getting out if it will hurt his chances of playing.

I've been a west Monroe fan for longer than you've been breathing. What we say on here will have absolutely no effect on the outcome of this situation. Neither you nor I are employed by the program so our inputs are insignificant. What good does it do for two innocent bystanders to try to be deceptive? An investigation will be done....we'll see how it goes. The Mother's move is absolutely legit.

Transferring to West Monroe for baseball? Really? I know what they do in football but sitting out a whole year just to play baseball at WM? Aren't they just a decent program in baseball? It's not like they are Barbe or Jesuit.

Regardless of whether he visited Bama or not no WM player is gonna go anywhere but LSU if they have an offer. The entire coaching staff are LSU fans and Shows knows what he's doing. Mingo visited Bama too before committing to us.

I am 1000 miles northeast of WM now...damn I hate that I am missing out on the action. I love the Neville and Ouachita folks whining!

Programs like West Monroe, John Curtis, Evangel don't have to 'recruit'. The winning itself is what attracts alot of kids.

Before West Monroe became the big dog in NELA, a lot of talent gravitated to Neville, still does, as there can only be 11 players on the field. There are only so many starting positions on a team. Neville still attracts a lot of talented kids, its just they are second fiddle to West Monroe.

Ouachita has unbelievable talent year after year in football. But they can't win the big one. Its gotta be a little disheartening to a lot of the kids, parents, alumni and boosters.

One player doesn't make a team, programs like West Monroe are so solid, so fundamentally sound from top to bottom that one player is not going to determine their overall success.

You are correct. They are a decent program. Actually it's te place to go if you want to play for ULM which he just committeed to. I didn't understand the move either. He was at Neville where he had a former major leaguer as his coach( Mike Dejean) don't know if Mike was a good player but he probably had connections if the kid is good enough. WM Rebels gonna Rebel.

look west monroe doesn't recruit anymore than anyother school does. .

Are you serious? It happens every year with premier players. It's an unfair advantage. He is a solid player and I hope nothing bad happens to him, but I hope he can't play because he is ruled ineligible.

So is it an unwritten rule that fans are supposed to lie about shenanigans, JJ?

I assume you were implying CC is not a WM fan because he did not conceal the fact that a WM coach took another schools kid to bama?

Cam probably got tired of playing for an also-ran and wanted something he would never get at OPHS..., a ring.

Saw this thread earlier and called my good friend who is Ouachita Booster. Their is a lot of stuff going on here. Mom has not moved out of Monroe home yet.

This is the Best OT in the country and WM is going to recruite this kid openly. Thats crazy, Don must not care anymore I mean Brady went to Wossman and even though he was Hi profile this kid is the biggest recruite in the country. Don just can't sneak this kid in the back door.

That is a great looking NLU helmet. I remember those.

Much better than the one they have now, IMO.

I can agree that WM is at the top when it comes to HS football in La and they put in a lot of hard work to get there. With that said, it wasn't until some of the former Ouchita coaches got there that things took off and Ouachita sort of leveled off. Scott Stone, Shelby Ainsworth, Coach Shake( now ULM Baseball coach) Mo Nelson and maybe 1 or 2 others. Now WM has kept it going but there was a big assist from the other side of the River to help get it rolling. Either way as long as the kid did it legit I could care less. I know for a fact they've recruited before but it's not necessarily the case with everyone of the high profile players they get. If Robinson was leaving to play at Minden HS it wouldn't even be a story.
