I don't remember the name, but when I ate at Izzo's a few weeks back (Jefferson/Bluebonnet location) there was a sign up in the adjacent strip mall for some sort of Hawaiian Grill coming soon. I Did a cursory google search but can't find anything.

I'm not even sure what a "Hawaiian grill" is to be honest. All I can picture is a grilled chicken breast with pineapple on it. I'm guessing there is more to it than that

I would expect something like this?

Here is the menu of Ohana Hawaiian BBQ in Henderson-Nevada, across the street from Zappos Shoes HQ, across Freeway from Green Valley Ranch, in same shopping center next to Rubios and Jamba Juice..

I think that'd be a nice addition to the food landscape. Not exactly that similar, that kind of menu would partially fill the gaping hole in my soul left by Ronnie's Ribs departure.

If that is the nature of a menu for a Hawaiian grill, they don't have to worry about me going through the door soon.

It's name is the Cove Hawaian Grill. That's all I got.

Coolio. This is the other page of the menu posted above. Again, not for this place, but maybe some idea of what they could serve.

Ate lunch here today. This place isn't gonna make it. People working the counter were borderline rude, portions were tiny, food quality sub-par.

Sent my son to get me some lunch from there today, and I think I'll be frequenting this place as much as I can. Like I said in the other thread (anchored...maybe cause it got off topic??), the spicy chicken had a great flavor. The take-out box had two scoops of rice, scoop of steamed veggies, and a nice portion of both pork and chicken (he got me the mix). Had a thing of terriyaki sauce came with it that I poured over the rice. Very, very good flavor overall and I really did enjoy it. Portions weren't overflowing like some chinese places do, but it was enough to fill me up. I wish he would have brought home a menu, tho.

The last new place I tried was Taco Boudreaux, and it was underwhelming. I really hope this place makes it. It's not far from my house at all.

I had a good experience eating there. I had an ample portion in the "bowl" I ordered (see previous thread). I just got water, which I normally do and I was full and out the door for $7.07 after tax. Everything seemed fresh and tasty. I felt it was a great deal for that price. Real meat, rice and veg.

I'll post a picture of the menu in a few minutes.
