who is this dude?

Bowe definitely belongs on this list but that might be a tad high.

Yes Tyrann, do you disagree? The guy had more forced fumbles and recoveries than I can remember any player in college football. he is a playmaker
He's three FF's away from setting the all time NCAA record. And he's a junior.
Michael Clayton.
Where the hell is Jimmy Taylor??? To leave off a NFL HoF player proves this guy is a jackass.

Claiborn and Peterson were the best defensive backs in LSU history.
Have you ever heard of Tommy Casanova?

3. trindon holliday?
I like Holliday and all but he did nothing for his career and this guy has him ahead of Faulk. Lost all credibility for the article. Holliday should not even be in discussion for lists like this.

Sorry I am not 75 years old. From what I hear and read Cassanova was the ish, but I have serious doubts about him being a better player than Peterson. Greater impact on a team, maybe but not better at locking down a reciver or returning kicks.

doesnt belong on the top 25

I don't think Devery belongs on that list either.

I think it's always hard not to be "near-sighted" with lists like this. That's why it's so good to have the old-timers on here to keep us informed. It sounds like the author is maybe in his 40's. Would be cool to see a list as voted on by ranters.

Tommy Casanova is the only three time All American in LSU history. There is a reason his name and number is displayed in Tiger Stadium.

Being a Leesville grad, where is Kevin Mawae. I would also give Eddie Fuller a vote before Trindon Holiday.
I can't believe any LSU fan would question Tyrann Mathieu. Like him or not he has been one of the most spectacular players to ever wear P&G. IMO, he ranks ahead of PP7 for his accomplishments last year. And PP7 is one of LSU's best of all-time. That was a horrible list.

I just feel like the best players of this decade >>>> best players from the 70's. Different breed of athlete...I could be wrong since I never had the priviledge of watching Cassanova play.

Athletes are far different today than what they were back when Casanova played. I too don't know much about him and I've heard numerous times that he's one of the best ever to put on a Tiger uniform, but I have a hard time believing that he was as athletic as Patric Peterson.
They didn't train the same back then as they do now and the game have evolved quite a bit.
Best in his era, no doubt. Better than Peterson, I'd have to see some substantial evidence to say that.

Trindon at #3 and Justin Vincent at #13 are flat out ludicrous.
I guess anyone who meets Billy Cannon and calls themselves an LSU fan can become a yahoo.com writer.
