I have an issue I discovered on my Jeep as well. Sorry for derail in advance but did not want to start another thread.
98' Wrangler leaking coolant out the top of the radiator when running. Not sure why but the makers cut costs and placed plastic tabs and a top for a high temp area on the radiator. The metal lower part is fine, it is just at this plastic seal.
My question is do I need to up and buy an all metal radiator or is this something that a repair shop can fix without fully replacing? Hopefully some of your pros can understand my jibberish when it comes to explaining vehicle problems
TIA and sorry for derail.

Check ball joints
This is a big cause, your ball joints can wear down quickly with big tires
Also make sure your track bar is tight as frick, Check tie rod ends as well

I went through this too... You gotta replace the whole thing. Cheapest way is to get a used one from a wrecked jeep and see how long it last, or you can get a new aftermarket that has no plastic and cost a good bit more.

Well Shiite muslim. Thanks for the heads up. Guess there goes most of the money I was saving for that new 9mm. Going to the junkyard this afternoon to see what they have in stock. More than likely I will pay the extra for an all metal model so I don't have to deal with this again during the zombie apocalypse.

I drive a 05' F250 with the coil front suspension like the Jeeps and mine does the same thing. Scares the shite out of me everytime. I have heard only thing that fixes it is put new, prolly more expensive/better, shocks on it along with the steering stabilizer. Ford has always said it was because the two front tires didnt have the right air pressue which is bull.
Plan on replacing all the shocks soon and hopefully it fixes it. good luck

one other way to eliminate this problem is increased toe in. Both wheels would be forced towards the center of the vehicle eliminating any sort of steering shudder.

Don't buy a junkyard jeep radiator. They clog up if they sit dry too long. Go to radiatorbarn .com and get a new one. It's an easy fix.
If your at a shop to fix death wobble. Prepare your anus.

Thanks for the link. I bought my lift from those guys and have talked with them many times on the phone about various issues. It almost makes me throw up thinking about all the stuff that could be wrong.

this isnt just a jeep issue. It is vehicles with straight axle front ends. I drive a f-250 so I know your fear

Yeah you're right. I'd feel a whole lot safer if I was having this problem in a big arse truck. On a positive note, straight axle>>>>>IFS for offroading.

I had it on my F250 really bad. I replaced all joints on the front end one at a time until I had replaced them all. Tie rods, track bar, drag link, upper and lower BJs. After that, I got a new steering stabilizer and it took care of it.
Main causes of bad death wobble are worn joints, and more importantly bad steering design. Ford has the latter, and I had both.
Mine was like the 7.3 F250 on YouTube

Just watched that video. Mine is only at low speeds, so hopefully the shop calls me back soon with some good info.

Check the roaters, bearings, and make sure your tires are still balanced.

So the guy called and told me that what I'm feeling is being caused by warped front rotors on my jeep. Said everything else looks good after a balance and rotation. Does that sound right to anyone?
