they don't work. all the do is massacre the item being chopped. it doesn't make a clean chop. basically just smashes it.

If you order in the next 30 minutes, you get two sets for the low, low price of $9.99. You just have to pay shipping and handling on the second set, which is $126.54.

Why did I have to click on this thread in order to know what it was about?
Poor title, IMO.

its great for dicing. onions, jalapenos, etc. It works well on "hard" vegetables.

Mrs. Vedder picked up one of those; she occasionally wants to help in the kitchen but doesn't like to use a knife. plastic tines that push the food through the blades broke off in short order.

I have a chopper that is nearly identical to the slap chop that is very useful for nuts and for making finly crushed cracker crumb crusts. Other than that I would never use it to chop wet ingredients.

I have one. I've never used it. Mrs Afro thought it was cool, so she had to have it. I thought it was another thing to clean.
Wife wanted one as well and we rarely use it. In fact, the last time I used it was when I wanted to put chopped onions on hot dogs.
I't isnt a "clean" chop, and it does smash the food. But, if you aren't worried about your chopped onions (or anything else) looking great, it does an OK job of chopping a lot, quickly.

It works pretty well on harder veggies. My only complaint is you have to cut onions down to pretty small pieces for it to be effective on them.
Also, don't even think of using that plastic cup thing to chop on. Just use a cutting board.

I've had the Pampered Chef version for years. Mostly use it for nuts and for chopping my onions and pickles for my potato salad very, very fine.
