I have been on board with this forever. Until recently. Check out this video from VT - they always play Enter Sandman (yes that song is average) but check out the reaction from the crowd (including the band) at 0:15

We have a great band, have been no complaints. Doubt we need heavy metal to make Tiger Stadium intimidating.
