Thinking about selling my Les Paul to buy a PRS. Any guitar players out there play PRS. What is your openions on them?

Big mistake
Selling your Gibson for a PRS?
Have you lost your mind?

What kind of Les Paul?
And what PRS?
And what PRS?

I wouldn't get a PRS over a L.P. Think this one through.

From what I can tell the PRS are much better made guitars. Of course they are more expensive as well.

PRS Singlecut Hollowbody II Electric Guitar is what I was looking at buying

Get it you won't regret it. I have a Custom 22 and love it, its so versatile. I have a 87' and 07' LP and they're great, but they can't hold a candle to my PRS.

Has anyone that is saying keep the LP, actually played a PRS?

I have both a Gibson Les Paul and a PRS. Don't sell the Les Paul! Love my PRS too though. Both give good deep rock sounds. But if it were me, I'd keep Les Paul and save up to add PRS into the mix too!
My dad always told me, "Son there's 2 things you never ever sell, your guns or your guitars"

What amp do you play your PRS through?
Posted on 7/6/12 at 2:23 pm to ALPOKEENE
I play mine through a Mesa RectoVerb at home and at church i just go through the sound system

plenty of reasons to choose one over the other. differnt woods, scale lengths, fret sizes, pickup combinations. the prs studio, and swamp ash special have those extended pole pickups that sound like single coils, so there really isnt a substitute for a les paul.
i feel like the les paul has, for the most part, one single sound, with one single look. at least with prs you can alter everything i mentioned above, but in the end, its what feels best.
i wouldnt sell one to get another though, just get the next guitar.

Prs makes some fantastic guitars. Depending on the model, it can be more versatile than a les paul. some have a coil tap like feature that will give you single coil sound with the turn of a knob.
the necks on the ones i've played were extremely comfortable.
i still prefer the sound and look of the les paul, but the prs was easier to play.

I prefer everything about PRS over LP, especially the double cutaways. They just make great guitars.
