Today sucked all around. We went from looking elite to playing like shite. I hope the lineup gets shuffled around next gameweek. Today was unacceptable

What would you prefer? The good news(if that's what you want to call it) is today was not a league game. We get to learn a valuable lesson without leaking points. The only thing that may work in the future is Azpilicueta in at RB and move the Serb to CB with Terry.

Wasn't able to catch the game today, looks like I didn't miss much though except for Falcao putting on a clinic.

With Meireles we are looking pretty light in the holding midfielder/2 in the 4-2-3-1 spot. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to miss him, but who do we see take his role? Does Romeu finally get some PT again? Mikel is the slated starter at DM with Lampard getting most of the starts beside him. I could see Ramires playing along side each of them and starting Marin at RW too. Will we see Oscar playing a lot and relieving Lampard?

Could Bertrand give it a shot? Kid can play all over it seems. I know they're grooming Oscar to take Frank's spot but he's not ready yet.

Cech
Azpilicueta Terry Ivanovic Cole
Mikel Luiz
Mata Lamps Hazard
Torres

Forgot that he's been playing on the wing some. It'll be interesting to see what his role becomes over the next few weeks.

I agree that Oscar isn't ready for serious PT in big games. I'm not sure if it has been nerves or if it's just that he's not groomed yet. It'll be fun to see how quickly he's able to really contribute.

We're really deep at attacking mid/wingers, but the DM side is pretty light. I just really don't like Mikel. He gives the ball away way too much and isn't really good at any aspect of the game. I hope Romeu gets a chance and does well.

I was actually just thinking about Luiz at DM, but I think I'd want him in place of Mikel with Lampard or Ramires alongside him. Luiz has been a lot more responsible with staying back so far this season compared to last year. I don't know much about Azpilicueta, do you think he will take on a regular starting role at RB soon or is he just cover?

I scanned the thread earlier and missed your post. I agree with the formation you posted earlier too. I'd like to see Romeu and Ramires along side each other in the deep midfield spots.

Romeu hasn't had serious minutes in a long time, but I really liked what I saw from him last season. Obviously he would have to be eased into a starting role, but I think he and Ramires could pair well there. Romeu is very technically sound and smart on the ball- he doesn't senselessly give the ball away like Mikel does. In my opinion, our play flowed much better last season when Romeu played than when he didn't. Romeu doesn't have much pace at all, and sometimes had trouble closing down quicker players last season, but he did well tackling when he was around the ball. Ramires, with his pace and stamina, would help negate Romeu's lack of speed.

I think Ramires can play the role that Lampard is playing now well, so that Lampard can be moved farther forward. I'd prefer Lampard stay farther up the pitch than Ramires. Ramires has a great engine so he can help out in attack easily and make some deep runs that he did last season.

Lampard hasn't looked too great this season, and neither has Mata playing in the center. I'm starting to think Mata may be more of a wide player than a central player. I think Lampard can run the middle better than Mata, for now, with Hazard cutting in/roaming.

Romeu is the great mystery. I'm not sure RDM even knows he is in the squad.

What did I miss regarding Raul? How can we sell him after the deadline, or did it happen before and was just kept quiet?
