What do ya'll think Rodgers does with Gerrard from here on out? His game was decent today but his age is catching up. He looked extremely slow at times.
I know he said they need to ease the burden off of his back earlier this week but I'm just curious what you guys see or would like to see on how he handles it?

I think he'll stick with him and hopefully play in a more advanced position... he should be able to with Lucas back...
He shouldn't be playing in these tournament games, in my opinion. unless we go deep into them...

In the first half he was still dropping back extremely far to pick the ball up, which I thought was surprising with Lucas back

Hey ok stupid question but still...
If Chelsea moves to get rid of Rafa is there anyway we could snatch him up and just add him to the staff, given he still a reds fan & supporter.
A) If it happened would it be worth it
B) would he come
C) would his style match BR
D) just how cool would it be to have BR & Rafa on the same staff
Okay sorry about dumb question but had to ask after seeing rafa earlier today ... he was one of my favs and I kinda miss him and El Niño
but before getting jumped love Saurez more now

They will be aight. Cole was alright today and Maiga can spell him a few. Diame played REALLY well in the 2nd half of the match.

A) No
B) No
C) They couldn't work together
D) Having both on the same staff would make little sense. Hard to imagine they would get anything done since both are control freaks. In a perfect world it would be awesome. Rafa as DOF with full control over all transfers, the academy and a decent budget for a minimum of 5 years would be incredible.

It was in reference to Liverpool. We either need Carroll healthy and preforming to sell, or get him back in January.

I hope I have a wet dream about this tonight.

Doesn't matter to Liverpool one way or another. West Ham stay up and he's theirs.

I'd like to have him back depending on how January goes. When teams pack 10 behind the ball we look like chickens with our heads cut off. I know BR doesn't have him in his plans, but I think the kid got a raw deal under the new manager.

Highly doubtful Rodgers brings him back in January. For starters, he'd be out until at least early February. He will come back on poor form. We may not be in any tournaments outside of the PL so he would have to find form in the league which is something Rodgers probably wouldn't try. I'd rather let West Ham keep him and collect our £15m. That's a down payment on Huntelaar and Walcott, or whoever else we are chasing. Recalling him is risky from a business perspective, which, if we're honest, is how this situation should be approached.

Right, no I agree. I just thought that before he got hurt. Now that he's hurt and we'll most likely only have the league left it would make no sense. Also, I wasn't aware the deal was for 15. I say we take the money and run in that case.

I'm pretty certain the clause is for £15m. We received £2m for his loan fee and West Ham is paying 100% of his wages which is incredible.

How did I miss this? 100%? They must really want him. Plus 17 in total. Awesome.

Wait, frick, I just realized I wasted my 10,000 post tonight at some point and didn't realize it. Son of a bitch.

He's the most ideal forward they could possibly have. If he was healthy he'd score 10-15 goals a season for them.

Has Big Sam written all over him.

He'll come around if he can get a string of consecutive games for them. He's built for this league. Liverpool stunted his development but there is no reason he still can't succeed in an English system.

Did Pardew offer more than 15 for him?
