heard through the grapevine they picked up a baseball player recently. Got someone transferring in from way outside LC for their senior year.
I know this happens in basketball all the time. Is this becoming more common in baseball?

I think it's happening more in all sports.
Ruston got a quarterback and his dad from Alexandria.

Barbe's had players from Iowa (the town, not the state), Jennings, Sulphur and Puerto Rico move in over the years that I can recall.
They get blasted by some for the Puerto Ricans, but those don't seem fishy to me. Just families that moved to LC to work at the casinos, best I can tell.
But the Jennings, Sulphur (Cecchini's nephew) and Iowa kids were a little shaky. The Iowa kid played football for Iowa, then transferred to Barbe for baseball season. When he played college baseball, he listed his hometown as Iowa.

Makes sense since he's the OC at Ruston after being the HC at AHS. I only saw one of the Gatlin kid's games. Is he pretty good.
Will Shaan Washington be an Aggie?

are you referring to JF? He transferred to Barbe a week before football season and led the Bucs to the second round while setting records (at the time) for points scored by an offense.
Janzen Jackson will always be a Carencro kid in my book.

I thought JF played his junior and senior baseball seasons at Barbe and his senior football season...
I could be remembering wrong though.
I left out JJ because A. He didn't play baseball and B. Lance had left Carencro to take a job on McNeese's staff, so the transfer was legit. I have no problem with that particular move.

Who is JF?
Look at the baseball roster. The only kid on the team from Barbe.

Nah bruh not Jared foster, I can't remember the dudes name though, I want to say josh fontenot but I'm not sure, maybe someone can shed some light.
Also, trey brown was a pitcher from Dequincy that transferred to barbe for baseball then played at Mcneese.

Josh Prince went to Barbe and is from Sulphur. He never moved from Sulphur. He ended up going to Tulane.
Barbe absolutely pulls kids in who they want. They don't try to hide it either.

For real I don't know if they recruit or if the program recruits itself.
Example, their starting catcher this yr played at Lagrange last yr bc he didn't make the team or some shite. He isn't from America just like the 5 or so other guys that stayed at Lagrange. I assume they all moved here and wanted to play at barbe.
