who would you pick, and why?

for me it is brees, he has a better line, and better run game allowing him to put up better numbers

Brees will probably get you more passing yardage and TD passes but Rodgers can do more damage on the ground. He's scored 16 rushing TD's his career. You can't go wrong with either one though.

This. Slowly the league is becoming more and more of a running back by committee set. QB and WR are more important over the last two years. If you have one legit RB and two good WR and a great QB you are destined to win some games.

Rodgers is the clear cut #1 fantasy QB this year.

Rodgers. He turns over the ball much less than Brees and his his rushing TD's put him over the top. Can't go wrong with either one but my QB board is

Rodgers
Brady
Brees

well the guy on fox sports radio said the saints are going to be absolutely horrible this year so you will have to take Brees because they will always be playing from behind...he also said they have no running game while teams like the patriots and packers can run it better

It's very close, but I say Brees. My league gets a 1/2 point per completion and Drew usually gets a lot more completions per game, so that's the difference maker for me. Not to mention if it's a toss up, I'd rather have even more to root for when #9 throws a TD.

despite the massive homerisms going down(expectantly) in this thread, the clear answer is rodgers. brees is an excellent consolation prize, but the obvious choice is rodgers

why is it "clear"? I think they are very close.

Brees

---------

Agree with this analysis.

Rodgers.

Last season I had the first pick in a league and it was either Vick or Rodgers. I chose Vick and #2 picked Rodgers.

He won the league, I didn't.

And boom goes the dynamite.

But seriously, whoever said this is right...
