I think it's Saban. Spurrier is in his head about needing to win a NC somewhere besides Bama and LSU. Nick is like, "Alright, Visor Cock, I'll go win one at Arkansas. WooPigSooie mother fricker!"

Thing with Saban is he understands people and manipulation.
Recruiting = Manipulation
You manipulate the kids, the coaches, the mammas, the baby mammas, and the guidance counselors, and the fans that encourage recruits by honest or dishonest means.
A frickwad like BPetrino isn't going to be able to be a great manipulator because that takes a skillset that requires getting people to like you. When you have power people will do what you want regardless if they like you or not.
The kind of power BP craves and reveled in, is only given not taken, and he can only exert that power once the kids have signed LOI's and are on the hill.
I fully think Jordan Diamond, Davonte Neal, the Colorado lineman, and Gunnar Kiehl would be hogs today if BP would've dumped his bike in January and not in April.

I updated some info in the OP, adjusted the odds, and added Joker Phillips to the Officially Removed from Consideration list.
Game 1 had ups and downs. We played a soft defense designed to keep the WR's in front of the CB's and they got ate up and dink and dunk passes.
The OL is a major problem area, we started 2 walk ons @ G and T. Last year's starting tackle was serving a suspension for the opener, hopefully he'll be back and ready to tear it up on Sat.
Knile looked good early, then had some negative running plays from busted blocking. Tyler looked sharp and was just running it like a boss. He had an uncharacteristic drop of the ball, the team was a bit sloppy with the ball but they executed the offense really well. Brandon Mitchell will be an NFL receiver if he keeps steadily improving. This group of WR's appear much better suited to go up against physical defenses.
The offense can score on any snap, and the defense still can allow a score on any snap. Our DE's are nasty, the DL is stout but a little slow. The secondary is suspect, I'm hoping playing soft was just a game planning thing and not a sign of how the season is going to go. Darius Winston is one of the most over-hyped 5 star recruits in history, uncoachable. He had issues with Wily Robinson, we brought in a secondary specialist as DC, the other CB's and safeties were playing the ball in the air, Winston still does not and will not. Will Hines and Ray Buchanan Jr. better get ready to play in a hurry. Winston just hasn't learned anything in 4 years, Wily may not have the problem with the CB's poor performances. I wish we still had Isaac Madison this season.
As another poster pointed out, JLS is just the figurehead this season. During timeouts he was left out of the conversation as PP led the huddle and the defensive huddle was led by Taver and Caldwell.
JLS belongs in a recruiting admin role at this point.

Could you also update Jim Mora Jr's?
Mark Schlabach ?@Mark_Schlabach
UCLA up 36-27 on Nebraska. Jim Mora Jr said Arkansas was a dream job

interdasting.
As much shite as Mora Jr. has talked and continues to talk on Bobby Petrino I think he'd actually come to Arkansas just to talk more shite on Petrino and gloat in his face.

added Jim Mora Jr. for ya. I also adjusted the odds on the rest of the coaches relative to tonight's game.

Let's fire this baby back up:
I'm starting to think we almost have to go with a defensive head coach. Butch or Strong?

Strong is my #1 choice. Butch is getting close to retirement age so I'd prefer someone younger. He's still at the top of my list though if we miss on Strong.

Last two programs Butch has been at he's left with NCAA violations. Never had a record better of 9-3. Not sure why everyone on that train
I say Strong or Manny Diaz. Diaz never been HC which makes it a risk, diaz has great defense everywhere he goes
Plus I don't expect a home run hire so all options would be a little risky

Current knee jerk reaction leaders are Gus @ 10:1, throw a JB Hunt trailer load of cash @ Chris Petersen 25:1, Strong @ 30:1, Les Miles @ 30:1 to make the world go cray, Bud Foster @ 40:1, Jimmy Johnson @ 60:1, Gruds @ 100:1

Strong would be the best fit for us, IMO
We really need a strong recruiter to help get the defensive talent up, because that's what is killing us. We have little talent or depth on that side of the ball

At this point I'd take Utah St. Asst. that has the mullet.

Man, that's a lot of truth.
Just as an example, I would bet money that joe adams would have been playing db for Saban, where he belonged in college ball, rather than WR where he didn't belong simply b/c he wanted to.
