Edit: Link isn't working now....

I'd take Charlie Strong in a second. Let's build an awesome defense and hopefully the offense can be respectable.

Strong sounds good to me. Didn't take long to get back to the attitude of literally anything is better than what we have now.

I think David Shaw needs to be added to this list. I have no inside info but I think he could be a darkhorse and would be a very good hire.

John Daly is the obvious choice.

Great news.

I just realized that we aren't going to be paying anybody a buyout on our end. So there's another million or so per year to add to the pile to get Gruden.

No. If you want the Stanford offense then you're only option is Greg Roman.

The reason i don't like strong is that with him we'll be trying to beat LSU and Bama at THEIR game. We can't recruit like they can. I think we'll be Miss State if we hire Strong - an above avg defense that has potential to be very good (but not as good as Bama/LSU) and a shitty, ineffective offense.

Here's a candidate I've kept Mums on because I know the fan base would erupt in negativity but he meets the known requirements.

Frank Solich. He's more on the backside of his career, but he'd have us competing at a high level and there's not as much risk as other candidates.

I'm a big Solich fan and always try to catch Ohio games when they're on tv because that is a fun team to watch. He's 68 though and seems pretty content to just finish out his career though. Even if we wanted him, I'm not sure he is looking to move. I would think he would have had interest at some point in the past 7 years considering the job he has done there rebuilding that program in to one of the best in the MAC.

James Franklin
Charlie Strong
Steve Sarkisian

Those would be my Top 3..

Long term Arkansas should get a defensive minded guy..

Realistically Arkansas needs a guy that can keep it in his pants.. Something Nutt and Petrino failed at...

Its an Arkansas thing... If you get famous here the pussy feels the need to frick you. Look at the 3 biggest names from Arkansas.

Clinton - Gets blown in the Oval Office.
Nutt - Motorboats a reporter.(If I remember right)
Petrino - Tour guide for all Freshman Females.

Billy Bob -
