ummm ......have you ever seen serranos during football season? I know the food sucks but they make a shite ton of revenue for our 8 home games.
And so does Zippy's but their food is garbage too. I just don't see why it's so hard to put out a decent product and be successful? Those two places are successful due to location but both places are garbage.

What about the other 357 days of the year? They don't make THAT much money on those 8 days.
Who in their right mind would go eat that crap for lunch with Chipotle across the street?

Wonder if Izzo's is sweating this. I know locals like their Izzo's, but it ain't got shyte on Chipotle.
And I'm not a chain guy. Safe to say, Chipotle's my favorite chain place, relative to where it is on price point, etc. I mean, I'd rather eat Ruth's Chris, but Chipotle is a better fast food place than Ruth's Chris is a fine dining establishment.

I've never had Chipotle but I'm a big fan of Izzos so I doubt it changes my habits much. I get tacos or burrito in a bowl at Izzo's and I'm not sure Chipotle even offers that in the same way. The tacos on the grill at Izzos are money and nobody else does it like that.

I know what you're trying to say but I'm not sure what it means.

Speaking of chains, I ate at a Yard House in Denver recently. It was pretty damn good for what it was.
It would kill in BR.

It just means Chipotle does the best job at being what it's trying to be of any chain.
Maybe my problem with Izzo's was trying to get it to do what Chipotle does. The pulled pork burrito or whatever I got, wasn't their thing.

I'm a big Chipotle guy. Right now, I only go to LSU for business (and a ballgame or two), but I would go out of my way for Chipotle. As far as the burrito places go, their pork and their rice blow away the competition. So does their guac. Only thing I don't like are the over-salted chips.
Chipotle is meh. They are successful no doubt, only for the same reason their former parent company McDonald's is successful. Mastering the art of commissary food that is shipped frozen and reheated in bags at the store level. If reheat in the bag pork and rice cooked in a Chinese cooker is your thing, then have at it. I prefer places that cook and prepare their food at the store.

And I repeat, Chipotle rocks, chain or not.
It would be a top 3 Mexican joint in New Orleans easily

Yeah. You're right. This guacamole looks like something that just came out of a bag.
If you aren't Mike da Tigah's alter then perhaps you should exchange email addresses and then you can both go hang out on the St. Ann's area of Bourbon St. and suck each other off. That way you'd be in a city where you enjoy the food and you could get a free appetizer.
Jesus fricking Christ you people are worthless.

The food is not frozen. It's shiped sous-vide, which to me is ingenious for fast-food places. Keeps the price point low and the quality reasonably high. And it's just the carnitas and rice.

No, but that corn did along with whatever protein you have in there. You are right about the guacamole, color me impressed by mashing up avocados. I have had chipotle several times and I'm just not impressed. Many better options out there. You keep drinking that Chipotle kool-aid like the rest of stupid America.

there needs to be a concerted effort to work around the periphery of both LSU and downtown to tear down abandoned houses .. buy property .. develop .. and shove the trash away from these areas ... you still have garbage motherfrickers that prey on college kids down nicholson and highland ... shove all that crap out of there .. moving from downtown and LSU will eventually sandwich that shite out ... nicholson, from LSU to the Pastime should be prime real estate ..

just did some work on a community property settlement where they agreed to sell a house off of nicholson. appraised at 65k (other party had it appraised at 35k) but nevertheless they were bought out for $150,000. Not sure what is in the plans for the area though

What's your similar alternative at that price point that gets better results?
And don't say Izzo's.

You must own the stock. Next time you are there ask a manager what kind/cut of steak they use - see if they tell you.

You're good at snide remarks, short on anything constructive.
Again, at the price point, name your favorite alternative. And name a place at the price point that has a better process.
I like what they do. I'm not going in there expecting a fine-dining experience. But again, at the price point, who does better?
I'm guessing you have a stake in the game yourself. I'm just somebody who enjoys Chipotle. You are somebody who seems threatened by it.
