Selig did a horrible job but I think yesterday's events, Goodell has officially eaten the cake. Or something like that.

Bud Selig. Not just the steroid era, but the '94 strike, forcing the Astros to the AL, the constant schedule/playoff structure change, etc..

This isn't even close to being comparable. Selig by a long shot.

Only Saints fans think Bountygate was Goodell's fault.

Goodell needs to be awful for another decade before he even gets in the same neighborhood as Selig in terms of being a horrible commissioner.

Let's see... one guy let rampant steroid use tarnish his sport for a decade, and it basically took an act of Congress for reform to happen.

The other guy arguably over punished a couple of players, and nipped a potentially huge problem in the bud.

Yea...

Only on the 2 issues presented I'm saying Selig.

Selig had to fight and collectively bargain with the strongest union in pro sports to get roid testing, though I do believe his initial reaction was to turn a blind eye.

Goodell just went overboard.

Comparing the 2 careers though, and it's Selig by a mile. Though being commish for 3x as long might have something to do with that.

Goodell by far.

Selig had no control over the players union. Until the players union came on board with testing, there was nothing he could do.

Easy question.

So you think he just woke up one day and decided he didn't like the Saints and he was going to make up a scandal to frick them over? Please.

What about the 75 minute presentation when the league laid out what was called an "overwhelming" amount of evidence?

Selig

Goodell still has the power to actually punish the Saints.
