That's why early bird passes for 75$ are always worth it...I love a weekend in City Park seeing at least 5 musical acts that I would like to see.
I've seen some of the best shows of my life at Voodoo since it started...Beastie Boys in 2004 (others that year include Snow Patrol, Phantom Planet, the Pixies ffs). The 2000 weekend still might be my personal favorite with 311, STP, Eminem, Garbage, and Live.
Anyways, if you buy early bird, the schedule always fills out to an extent to where I feel I have always got my moneys worth. Just my $0.02.

WAIT WTF
HOLD THE PRESS
I just looked at the lineup...you're crying about Green Day and Skrillex when you have ATDI (!!!), Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Incubus, Justice, Radiohead, and Tomahawk?!?
This is one of the best early lineup releases I've seen for Voodoo...ever.
Edit: Source Wikipedia...

has he pretty much given up on peeping tom? i thought that band was right on the verge of being big, but he jumped ship and started faith no more back on tour. i guess he doesnt see the line between the acts like maynard does.

nothing beats 2007 just because of Rage against the Machine itself.

I usually don't trust wikipedia, but i sure as frick hope they're telling the truth on this one.
ETA: TheDoc needs to get in this thread to confirm radiohead and incubus... he seems to know a lot about local shows

think it was either '01 or '02 but I saw Snoop and later on saw Tool with the stage acrobats hanging from their feet - wild stuff, but great show

ATDI and Tomahawk would be badass, but I just hate festivals. I'm not trying to pay for Skrillex and Green Day. I'm sure I could see full shows from ATDI and Tomahak for a fraction of that price.
Posted on 6/18/12 at 9:21 am to Jester
I'd pay that much just to see atdi

They have some really talented musicians in the band (Christopher Thorn of Blind Melon), but I just don't enjoy the music too terribly much.
