Nah, I bet it's pretty entertaining.
Music died after the 80s.
Nothing but white guys wanting to be black guys now.

No but I'm not going to see that stuff.
And the songs are songs I already, and many who grew up in the 80s, already have.
I'm good.
But again to answer your question, no it's not bad. The 80s were awesome.

No matter how awesome the songs they use, nothing can change the fact that it's a freaking musical. They've taken the some of the most awesome anthems from my youth in the 80's and turned them into an abomination.
Seeing these tunes live in concert by their original artists =
Seeing these tunes being desecrated by incorporating them in to a ghey musical =

I won't see the movie, but I will probably by the soundtrack.

what's bad is that I had already marked is as, "Never watch," but your review has me questioning my decision. I hope I don't cave because I hate musicals.

There's nothing wrong with liking it, but publicly admitting it is another story.
(By the way, I saw it on Broadway 2 years ago, which is probably much more the ghey.)

I saw the broadway show and it was great. Movie cast, however, does not inspire me.

Tom Cruise deserves more credit for his acting skills.
He is pretty good at his craft, but most movie goers don't know about his acclaimed portfolio.
