If you lay them out in the sun for an hour or two, they can be used as a weapon.

Skipjack; bananafish, ten pounder, ladyfish. They tend to shite grey matter everywhere, that hardens like morter. Fun to catch, but no good to eat, and they will tear your baits up.

They have some large arse skip jacks around Gulf Shores/Perdido Key area. We used to catch them under the bridge at Perdido Pass that were huge. ANYTHING white is what they would hit. I wish I fly fished then...that would be a kick in the arse.

late summer they school up in big lake, along with the gafftops. You see schools and birds and it's nothing but shitfish underneath.

I took a trip out to ship island one time, and walked down to the west end of the island to fish. I caught skip jack until all the hooks on my krocodile spoon broke off, then they tore up all my cocahoe bodies, then they hit a bare jighead until it finally broke off. Lots of fun, and I wasn't keeping anything anyway.

The ones I caught me and my buddy were in ft Morgan and were shoulder deep wade fishing. Looking back I cause of the amount of blood those things throw when hooked.

Should have been shark bit
