0.52 homeruns per team per game in DI baseball in 2011 as opposed to 0.94 in MLB in 2011.

Aren't baseballs in MLB wound tighter with smaller seams? I thought I heard something about the college game switching to that to offset the "dead" bats.
I could also be completely wrong seeing how I am in a hotel bar getting drunk.

You right. But take the friday vandy game for instance. A great game. Very exciting, yet people leave with the game still up in the air. Why even show up?

The record for NCAA DI runs per team per game was 7.12 in 1998. The MLB record is 5.14 in 2000.

all I have heard is that MLB is going to pour money into college baseball to try and save college baseball, many schools lose money instead of gain it like LSU baseball
the one thing this would include would wooden bats.
I really miss the ping in baseball it was one of my favorite sounds of college baseball, going to school or coming home from school during the ping days, I would roll down my windows just to hear the ping of the bat.

They can frick with the bats all day long. When they put helmets on the batgirls, that's going too far IMHO.

Not calling it a conspiracy but who's to say they don't change the rules ever few years to force new bats to be purchased. If the bat companies form a partnership with NCAA, change policies and a few select people get paid. Like lobbyist in Washington.
