Longo is always really high on these lists, but I dunno.
He's basically been a 7.0 WAR player for the last three seasons. That's outstanding. He's only 26 and he's played a major role in the Rays turnaround. I think top 3 is more than a fair spot for him.

Robinson Cano over Dustin Pedroia is a fricking joke.

Its not like I'm trying to push him to the top of the list, but he should not be below Samardzija and non-phenom prospects a ways away from the majors

Man, that list just shows how much the league has fallen off in recent years
I think there are more young, exciting players now than since the early 90's.

Stupid argument, but .753 OPS would still put him in the top 50 hitter in the MLB. 1.012 would put him 4th.
Can't penalize a guy for where he plays.

That's not saying much though. There hasn't been a strong crop of exciting young players since the mid '90s with A-Rod, Jeter, Pedro Martinez, Vladimir Guerrero, Manny Ramirez, Chipper Jones, and others. Let me ask you a question. How many pitchers that were born in the '70s are future HOF pitchers? The only ones that I would put in the Hall right now are Pedro Martinez and Roy Halladay. And there has only been a handful of truly great HOF-caliber position players since the A-Rod generation. There's Albert Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, Joe Mauer, Ichiro Suzuki, and that's pretty much it.
