1. Stannis is totally setting a trap. Boltons will ride out into slaughter. Ramsay is playing games with the letter but he is done in the next book as he has outlived all usefulness.

2. Connington and Aegeon have been played for fools by Varys and Illyrio. Aegeon is a Blackfyre, straight up. Varys wants to make amends to Aerys II for setting him up and this was the best way. I feel bad because I like Connington but he is a puppet of the spider. Aegon dies midway through the book.Everyone is sad but then....

3. Jon Snow is kissed by Mel and brought back. Having given his life to the watch, he is free of his oath and he proceeds forward to Winterfell. On his way he runs into Brienne and is given Oathkeeper (red firey sword) and begins to set it all straight with a band of outlaws, maybe you've heard of them. At some point he goes to see the Crannogmen in order to go back to prepare Winterfell for the onslaught of the Others. Only the Lord of the Neck has a story he'd like to tell about three bad brothers (Kingsguard) you know so well it started way back in history at the Tower of Joy with Ser Arthur D.

4. Meereen begins to fall until a white haired gal with a rocking bod comes back at the head of 30,000 screaming Dothraki and one very pissed off dragon. They kill the invaders, take up the willing sell swords and with help of the Halfman finally tame these damn dragons. Then its off to Dorne to begin the conquest of the Seven Kingdoms.

5. Kings Landing takes a major hit from Dany and Cersei gives up the city in return for Tommen and Mrycella being allowed to leave with her and head to the Rock. Only Tyrion doesnt care for this and he attempts to stop it leading to, Jamie/Tyrion show down son! Maybe not physically but figuratively for sure.

THe greatest and best storylines will of course be Jon Snow and Tyrion. Which will lead up to why Tyrion will convince Dany to relinquish her reign to Jon Snow as the rightful heir and take up arms against the Others in the North, but that is a tale for another book.

I really feel like we need a stickied "post aDwD" official thread, since we seem to have one of these "whats next" threads a week, plus some general discussion in the show episode threads.

My guesses for things that happen in the next two books.

As most of her "names" are already dead, Arya returns as an assassin and takes out the Frey household one by one, since the old man is not likely to leave the Twins and needs to die bad.

Dany finally arrives and comes to odds with Littlefinger - you don't have a freaking inpenetrable sky castle in a book with dragons and not set them at odds.

Fat Manderly and Stannis take care of the Boltons, restoring a lot more order to the North. Unsure of if Rickon or Robbs yet unknown child will take over the Winterfell leadership.

John is reborn by Mel, able to take wife and lands now that he has died for the Wall. Not exactly sure how he will find out, but I'm thinking a combination of Bran reveal (through tree history) and confirmation by Howland Reed, who is getting ready to whip the North into shape.

Speaking of - Howland Reed received several groups of guests (which probably number the surviving Tulleys and a pregnant Jeyne Westerling among the others that went to him right before the RW) and enters the world with news of Robb's heir - be it baby or whoever Robb named prior to the RW.

Lannisters have no real power any longer and lose kings landing fast. I do think there will be a large choice for Jamie at some point over his sister/children. Probably also involving his less than stellar sword play as well.

Dorne is upset at their wasted Princes' death and casts their lot with Aegon - who is definitely a blackfyre. This consolidates a strong southern base for them, provided they can handle the Tyrells, etc.
