Do you enjoy the Clone Wars Animated TV Series better than the Movies? I like both for different reasons.

I like it more. I keep waiting for Asoka to die though. You know she isn't in the movies so what happens?

The fact that this thread even exists is a testament to nothing going on in the workplace. What kind of question is that? There is no way that the animated show is better than 6 movies. Well you can make the case for "A Phantom Menace" but thats about it

To clarify my post, I thought it was understood we would be talking about the prequels.

I understood it to be that.

I think the series is better than the animated movie.

Haven't seen the animated series, but it wouldn't take much to beat out the prequels.

George Lucas shite in a bag, labeled it "the phantom menace" "clone wars" and "revenge of the sith" and told us to take it.

I've only seen two episodes of the Series, but with only that to go on I can say yes, by far, the series is better than the movies. They had flow, good writing, tension, levity, and heart (something all three prequels lacked).

ETA: And just to be clear, I'm only talking about the prequels here.

Different medium, different goal really. And it works well. But....

Not to derail but...

It's better than the prequels for sure.

If you look at it objectively, it's better that 2/3 or the original movies as well. A New Hope is "better" than most things just because of nostalgia. If you put it up scene for scene against most sci-fi successes, it comes up short.

General Grievous was a kick-arse character on the animated series. He was a punchline in the movie.

Its because Lucas tried to do it all himself and fell flat on his face, which pretty much everyone knew that is what would happen. Those 3 films could've been so much more.

I prefer the movies. I still have 14 episodes of Clone Wars on the DVR that I need to watch. I just am not that into it and I love Star Wars.

I've seen most of the Clone Wars series and much of it is better than the prequels....for sure. Some of it is kinda weak as well. The underwater stuff from the start of season 4 sucked, IMO.

Like someone else said, the series is MUCH better than The Clone Wars movie that came out before the launch of the show.
