re: My dog has arthrittis

Inlaws have a Rott/Lab mix that has arthritis pretty bad, primarily in her lower spine/hip. She also just lays around a lot and its tough for her to get up at times. Some days it's like she doesn't have it and is running around like normal but other days she's limping pretty hard. One thing that seems to help on her bad days is if I rub her hip for a few minutes. I usually just make a fist and make a circular motion letting my knuckles dig in a little. It gets blood flowing to the area and seems to provide temporary relief.
