CJJ has had more action in a month than sweater vest V2.0 had in 3 years

unwilling or apathetic seem like more fitting words. He just didn't want to play the game.

he was pathetic either way

Don't know if he was lazy or just wasn't worth a shite at recruiting. I have a feeling it was probably a little of both. Let's not waste any more time discussing TJ! The thought of what he did to the bball program over the last several years makes me want to puke!

Thank you. There is no point taking about TJ anymore.

Basketball recruiting is probably about as dirty as it gets. TJ didn't want to get his hands dirty and he was lazy.

heard a story on Trent today actually. Supposedly, the players have told JJ they've already been able to meet and have access to him more than they ever did with Trent.

Agreed. He should have hired aggressive assistants at the very least. It seemed like he was more interested in player development, which isn't a good thing when you're unable to land many players with SEC caliber talent

Stringer Derenbecker Turner were all Top 100 recruits. Turner was all league freshman. JOB and Hickey are touted as anchors for this coming team. Hamilton was 2nd team all SEC. Be fair. These players didn't just fall into his lap. I do agree that he didn't do enuff though. Only one signee in early period and losing Hamilton might have set LSU back again.

It also appears talent evaluation was not a strong suit for Trent.

It's obvious TCU did the Tigers a huge favor by taking Trent off our hands!

saw the entire team walking around campus with JJ Thursday afternoon. Got to meet him and talk with a few of the players. Told Coach JJ how glad we were that he was "back home" and his face freaking lit up The man truly loves LSU and it's obvious.

So much optimism in that thread. I personally never liked the hire, but of course it's easy to say that now.

I didn't like the JJ hire because of the Dale Brown connection, but he's a huge improvement from the sweatervest.

Who cares about the connection as long as he wins? Stop being so bitter. Your life will probably be better for it.

Honestly I don't think ever got the feeling LSU was the place for him. From day one he seemed like he would have rather been somewhere else and I think it showed in recruiting. You never saw a sense of urgency.
