Already explained I was kidding. It was a point someone was trying to make in a previous Laird thread. Honestly his recruitment scares me to death. He's the size I am pretty sure my nephew will be. To put up better numbers seems pretty unlikely. I'm wondering if he should just quit football now and concentrate on baseball. Then I look at Laird's baseball stats and question whether he should just quit sports all together. Laird's stats are unbelievable, he's a 4.0 student, and has never been in trouble. What more can you ask for, yet no one wanted him?

mocking or being sarcastic at their expense is pathetic. Fans who do so merit the scorn of appreciative fans.
He isn't mocking or belittling the kid at all. He's just giving all of us North Louisiana boys crap for knighting so hard for him. I don't know the kid at all but I hope he contributes to some BCS Championships. I know BilJ is a big LSU fan and he'll be pulling for ML to be successful too.
I look forward to cheering for him and knowing both of you guys will be pulling for him too.

He is a great kid, smart kid, and a winner. ULM, Tech, etc. are idiots for not offering. Glad he is going to be a Tiger.

Plus a 6 page from earlier in the week, and the kid is worth every page... I can't wait to see him on the field, he is going to blow some people's mind..
Eta... Laird played in 4 championship games 2 in football and 2 in baseball... He was MVP in every one of them. That says a lot there.

5 championships according to KNOE. He played as an 8th grader when they won state in baseball. 4 out of 5...80% of the time, he wins everytime.

If my memory serves me right he did play that year but was not on the field for the championship game. I've watched these boys play since they started playing flag football at 5 years old. His class has been the most successful class to come through OCS. Mark was one of the major reasons for that. He is the most humble guy I know. He gave all of his helmet stickers to a freshman instead of putting them on his, the only thing on his lettermans jacket is his name on the back and his letters on the front. If he were to use all of his patches he would need at least 2 jackets.

Don't know about the kid, but he should give it a try. Does a walk on have a shot? Ask Antonio Gates, Jordy Nelson, Dan Marino.

So do most think baseball is his best chance at LSU?

Ok, went to ULM rivals website and posted to see what was up. Apparently, he was not offered by Arky St or ULM because he showed no interest back when they reached out to him (according to their rivals guy reply). I had talked to Mark's brother after his junior year when he started to hear from Texas A & M, Oklahoma, and Miss St in our conversation.
Like someone said, he never really camped a lot, which we know schools love to see the kids they offer at camp. LSU is a great example and it appears Mark made his decision of attending LSU regardless of other schools interest. I love to have someone like this walking on. Can only help our team. Even if it is on scout team, special teams, or earning playing time. Best of luck to him.

He pretty much just came in to pinch run.. even though he only ran like a 4.8 at the time.. I remember players were so pissed because Harper brought him up while he was in the 8th grade lol.

Harper brought up his brother Matt early as well. Matt was going to LSU but when PM replaced Smoke he didn't continue with some of Smokes guys. Unfortunately for Matt that meant he had to go to ULM and play. Matt was one heck of an athlete too.

That's because no likes someone bragging on themselves. I'm guessing Laird either started this thread or posted in it knighting himself.
Bozo was hilarious.
Solid episode here.
