Quote from an USC fan about LSU and its fans

It was on reddit in response to the question, "who is your favorite team from each conference?"
This is his response to his favorite SEC team:

This is his response to his favorite SEC team:
quote:
LSU: It's hard to remember a time when LSU was the Tennessee of the world: statistically pretty good, probably even really really good but really not relevant. But there was a time. And it was before Saban reminded these freaks that when you dedicate an entire state infrastructure to football and deep fryers it tends to gravitate excellence to these two things. LSU fans are dedicated. It used to be that I'd think of them as avatars of pure destruction, beings of might and terrible energy who flitted about, Diablo-like, raining down destruction in the pre-generated dungeons of Baton Rouge. This is false and does them ill. LSU fans are just like you and me. They are meat and bone and they get hungover, too. But they don't let this stop them. They simply don't care enough about the unpleasantness of being that insanely, disproportionately passionate about something. Not only do they not care, they are capable of directing that indifference to corporeal disharmony into a seething cauldron called Saturday night. They get over how illogical their behavior is. I cannot stress this enough. They overcome regular mundane laziness and comfort and strive towards a kind of greatness. If Mars were made of corndogs and BCS trophies there'd already be a Mike the Tiger cage there.

the corndog thing is so fricking stupid. it was funny when the Big 12 used it for Nebraska (Cornhuskers...) it makes no sense for LSU.

That was actually pretty awesome.

Reminiscent of a Chicageaux LSU fan post.

Nahh, it wasn't even funny then.
I've come to accept it tho, embrace it even. The more you let it get to you the more gumps, barners, & jorts will use it.

USC better hold up their end of the bargain. I would love for LSU to beat that arse in the nat'l championship.

Sounded like an edition of the trough to me too.

Auburn fans would disagree with you. I think its funny and we serve Corndogs at our tailgate every game, a huge favorite with the visiting team.

Honestly, who doesn't love corndogs?

My response to him.
Win something when you are supposed to, and we can talk. When you are a 27 point favorite to Oregon St, win the game. If you continue to lose games like that, I will continue to think you are an over inflated, media driven, celebrity wanna be football program.

I've actually never had a corndog. And I live in Texas and have attended the fair.
Anyway, that post is pure poetry. Just beautiful.

He wasn't ripping on LSU. He was complementing us and stating it was his favorite SEC team.
