Doesn't necessarily have to be tapas, but a good, nice place with somewhat of a large selection. We will be dressed up a bit (not tuxes or suits, but blazers and slacks). We aren't going to be doing a full meal, just want to share some appetizers/tapas/small plates, but would like more of a selection than just a regular restaurant with appetizers on the menu.

Area doesn't really matter.

I'd go to New York City. I like that place for small plates.

If you're party is pretty small I would say Coquette or Bouligny Tavern. If it's a pretty big crowd then maybe Salu.

And don't listen to anyone who recommends Baru.

Negative, brother!

That's in a few weeks. I still say it's not an unlucky position to be in at all.

Delmonico has a "Afterwork on the Avenue" cocktail specials from 5-7p. Dinner service is at 6p and the dinner menu offers a list of snacks and starters you might find interesting. Here's the dinner menu.

Good call for drinks and apps. Some good looking girls usually too. Can be a little pretentious but just dismiss it.
