According to premium information from several different sites, new LSU assistant Robert Kirby has reached out to mystery post player Tony Trocha of Colombia, who he was recruiting at Georgetown.
The 6-10, 210 center was supposed to be a member of the 2013 class, but is reportedly a good student and is making a move to the 2012 class. He recently took the ACT and is awaiting word on his score. He has been compared to Anthony Davis.
Rivals currently ranks him as a 4-star, based on very limited scouting. He is not ranked at all by Scout or ESPN. He has not played high school or AAU basketball in the United States. Most analysts predicted that he would eventually move up to 5-star status as more people got the opportunity to scout him.
They apparently will not get that chance, as it appears the next time anyone sees him play it will be in college.
He is considering a number of schools, including LSU, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Ohio State, UCLA, Oregon, Providence, Baylor, Houston and others.

Umm... This sounds incredible. even if he is a project, he would be better than Del Piero with a ton of upside... Hopefully keep him on campus a while to develop.

Kirby doing work!
Seriously, LOL at the people who claimed the assistant coaches were basically pointless positions and Trent's weak sauce staff wasn't hurting him

haha yea. Well hopefully he wants the opportunity to be starter from day 1 at a up-and-coming program.

I know he is a starter from day 1. Im just saying you said no American aau or hs stuff and he isn't well scouted that he may not have everything quite put together yet.

Well I know what thread I'm more interested in.....John Odoh who?

So when should we expect a decision from this guy?

He hasn't even taken any visits yet. This thing is still in its infancy. I wouldn't expect a decision until July.
As far as Odoh, or anyone else, is concerned, this will not affect their recruitment. There is too much uncertainty with Trocha for any school to put other recruits on hold. Trocha will just be like "found money" to whoever gets him.

is that a link from a middle school game?

I think that link is from when he was about 15. There are very few videos available. This guy is stealth, like a Zorro/Batman combo, or maybe Bigfoot.
