Wouldn't mind seeing him at Arsenal for a year.

Del Piero isn't going to start and play a full 90' effectively very often but he was still in excellent form for Juve last season in a sub role.

Yea he can perform the same role Henry did for us while on loan last year. I still think Del Piero has the quality to make a difference in a game.

Completely agree. I'm thinking the main reason Juve let him go was his immense salary for a diminished role and the maybe the constant media assault on Conte for not playing him more. He was a big part of the reason they went undefeated for his ability to come on at 60-70' and completely change the complexion of their attack.

It could be a nice signing for Liverpool on a 1 year deal. It's been assumed that he would go to Sydney to play out a final season or two but then I think Southampton and Ligue 1 interest had made him reconsider. Seemingly the deal with Sydney has been really close but the chance to play at Liverpool may make him change his mind.

I wish Arsenal would offer him a one year deal. He could take some pressure of Giroud and finally give us a goal threat off the bench.

Some Spanish news source said City bid 200 million for Ronaldo in the window, and he turned it down due to loyalty.

I have no words. Its so ridiculous, City may have actually done it.

And if its Germans its worth mentioning twice, so screw it.

If he turned it down, it was out of respect for Man U and Sir Alex, not loyalty to Madrid.

That was the loyalty I was speaking of.

The two articles I read said that Real Madrid simply referred them to the rescission clause.

Will City activate Ronaldo's $1.3 billion minimum release clause?

Upon Citeh's Euro 200M summer bid having become public, Spanish RM internauts are blowing up the net with 'sell CRon, sell CRon'.

Anyway, the rumor is, that the sale of Kaká was to finance a raise for Cristianito. This obviously didn't occur.

Bocanegra back to Rangers?

Apparently there was an error on Santanders end with the paperwork. This would be a real shame and should spell the end of his USMNT career.
