Staff retained by Johnny Jones?

With JJ's recent hiring of 3 new assistants, what is the status of Johnson's staff? And were any of those worth keeping?

All going with Trent
I don't think keeping any of Trent's staff would be a wise move at this point

Has Robert Kirby been confirmed yet?

I can confirm him in Little Rock sitting with Jones wearing LSU gear. Lol

Well that's pretty confirmed then... Wonder what's taking LSU so long on the release. That's a major hire for CJJ

IMHO - no.
What does a coach want out of his assistants?
1. Recruiting. I think they proved their worth (or lack of) in that arena.
2. Basketball knowledge. Did you see that offense they ran? What about their only out of bounds play? The one where they threw it across half court every time?
3. Teaching the fundamentals. Sorry, there's not enough space here to list their shortcomings.
4. Offspring. Nick Robinson's boys will both be good basketball players. But they're both under 5 and that's too long to wait.
Their wagons are tied to Trent.

I do believe, all coaches have to undergo a "Vetting Process," haven't we suffered ENOUGH under Alleva's poor vetting process?
I think SOMEBODY put our AD, on warning. Another abortion or poor hire, will be his last. That is my opinion.
In short, he hired poorly, by hiring Trent Johnson. I doubt he knew anything, other than that he worked at Stanford. See, a Duke Dude would look at that FIRST. Well look at what his choice wrought upon LSU MBB!!
He hastily hired that Lightfoot Murphy, Alabama, only to find out that the guy was not serious and terribly embarassed LSU.
Then he simply threw money at the WBB HC, and then look at the rest of that story! I think NC is a glamorous hire, but is she worth 1M?
This time, IMO, there would be no next time. It seems that Joe Alleva was more pre-occupied with his globe-trotting and "supposed high level committee work," he forgot he was AD. That is not to mention his questionable elevation to Vice-Chancellor. I don't think Alleva really has settled in, doing his job. The evidence is before us.
As the administration is cleaned out, maybe Alleva better spruce up his resume.

No he didn't. Good try though, pretty sure 99.9% of LSU fans thought it was a solid hire at the time. Hindsight is always 20/20

I can't believe you are even trying to put that shite on Alleva. Murphy's a total POS, hell he showed up to a press conference announcing him as the coach before bolting.

Everyone thinks that Johnny and his staff will be able sign any recruit they want from the Dallas area. Do they not realize that Trent Johnson will also be recruiting Dallas?

Your point? Trent was also recruiting NOLA and Gathers still ended up in Waco

I thought Kirby was confirmed, but I can't find anything official! Hopefully he is a go! With Kirby and Forrest, LSU's recruiting will move to a new level.

I agree. Can we come up with a new short name?
Jo Jo?
Johnny boy?

Mr. Jones?
Little Dale Brown?
Johnny from La?
Mr. BB?
BJ (for Bald Johnny)
Help me out here! JJ won't work!
