He shows no enthusiasm, and he seems to lack confidence, and mopes around, making mistakes and losing his bat mojo!
Something HAS to be going on with this guy! He went from a raw-boned country bumpkin, just glad to be here, to an aloof dude, playing rudderless.
Anyone knows something? It boggles my mind, his sudden change of attitude/behavior!!

I blame myself, his girlfriend has been all over me lately. Even though I told her I'm not interested, I'm pretty sure Jacoby is aware of her fawning and it has caused him to lose confidence.

Whenever you're in a slump at the plate, often time your mannerisms reflect the slump. Nothing more... nothing less.

The only thing that has changed is pitchers and the way they pitch to him.
He couldn't layoff the breakers in the dirt last year either, but that's all he sees now and he still can't layoff of them.

twice this weekend after hitting an infield grounder i noticed he ran half speed to first. no hustle compared to guys like Arby
