I shot a friends beretta 9 yesterday and LOVE IT. I've always owned a Glock and loved them too. Can anyone give me an insight as to the reliability of the Beretta against the Glock. It was the 92FS model I shot yesterday.

Just opinions needed. Thanks.

Before the Glock, the Baretta's was the must gun to own. You can't go wrong with either IMO.

I have a px4 sub compact 9mm. Love it. Prob a little more bulky than a glock but i love the recoil feel an accurcy. Ive had it about 5 yrs and would make the same decision again.

Whichever one fits your hand better and you rather shoot. Get that one.

Both are great quality. If you are narrowing your choice down to those two guns, you cant make a wrong decision. But of course I will say that i love my glocks. :)

Beretta is a decent bit heavier than the Glock.

That's all I got. It could be good or bad, depending on what you prefer.

The Beretta is known for reliability (maybe the most reliable pistol ever) but most good pistols are pretty damned reliable now.

The loose lockup & open frame leads to reliability but the 92 is not known for accuracy. That said, the pure single action on he Beretta is probably easier for most people to shoot than the Glock. That initial double action pull is tough, tho.

I have a Taurus 92 clone that allows carry in Condition 1. Berettas I have seen have hammer drop safeties. That single-double trigger pull pretty much required for the Beretta is the key reason for Glock preferences I think.

The single double trigger is a huge selling point for someone like me over that glock crap

The single double trigger
If getting a 9 again I think I would go with a hi-power & just stick to single action.
