Can anyone give me an insight as to the reliability of the Beretta against the Glock. It was the 92FS model I shot yesterday.
It's safe to say that both are reliable guns. We know that from the fact that the Beretta M92 was the winner of the armed services' trials when the 1911 was dumped in place of a 9mm. In addition, the Glock is well known for reliability. Unfortunately, the "reliability records" of any gun are not public information. All anyone has are anecdotal reports, internet info (some of which is accurate, but some of which is NOT accurate) and any trials done by independent agencies or groups that test the reliability of a gun.
OTOH, the Beretta and any Glock are entirely different guns. The most common version of the M92 Beretta has a double action/single action mechanism w/ a full metal frame, a traditional blue finish and an external safety lever. The Glock is at the other end of the spectrum w/ a striker fired action, polymer frame, a Tennifer finish and no external safety levers. Between these two there are a large number of very fine and highly reliable guns.

Tiger, very well said. Honest and accurate info.
I love my Glock. Got it as a graduation present from my dads hunting buddy. I prolly would not have bought it myself but will buy more because of it.
I've never shot a Beretta.

Apple and Oranges.
Think about this, there is a reason 80% of all law enforcement agencies around the country issue their officers Glock.

And there is a reason that Beretta has been issued the military contract for years and used to be the standard for LE.
Apples and oranges on design. Potato - potatoe on reliability.

Because they're as reliable a pistol as you can ever find, and relatively cheap?

Reliable
Light
One step to fire
No one else will be touching that gun but the owner/user

One step to fire?
Load the magazine.
Put the magazine in the gun.
Rack the slide.
Depress the trigger safety.
Finish pulling the trigger.
That's 5 steps.
I kid. I kid.

say "Glock vs XD or Berretta vs. CZ" ******
I don't think the XD has earned its way into this sort of comparison (yet).
