No she isn't.
She is empowered and people find that attractive. But in reality she is an average woman and above average singer.

GaGa is a female Boy George IMO. If it weren't for the gimmicks, she'd be nothing.

Lady GaGa is probably the most talented singer out right now.
You should watch her accoustic performances, where she sings without her own track playing over her, while playing the piano.
I realize shes an annoying attention whore, but she is extremely talented.

I think Adele is a much better vocalist, but Lady GaGa is a prodigy as far a being a musician goes. She could have probably been a concert pianist had she so desired.

Adele is just an unattractive above average singer, that women have absolutely latched on to because she doesn't seem to care what people think.
You came out, had he one album wonder, and strained so hard trying to scream really loud (not talent) that she blew out her vocal chords. Her new stuff is just absolutely terrible.
It is just 100 times easier to like a big girl who sings about how pretty she is than it is to like a freaky possibly ugly woman singing about sexual fetishes and Judas.
I find the music Adele produces (singing about relationships and being dumped) shallow and repetitive, whereas GaGa at least tries to push the envelope and change thing up.

Adele is one of the most talented Jazz/Pop singers I have heard in a couple decades.
Gaga is a very talented singer, but is also an amazing attention whore. That is what grates on people's nerves about her.

Repetitive? yes. I wouldn't necessarily say shallow. Her third CD will be very telling as she will supposedly be "happy" when she writes the songs.
And although she doesn't write the music, I'm sure she is there for every step. I can hear the influences going back 40 years (from Carole King to Phoebe Snow to The Guess Who). She has great appreciation for what came before and it shows in her songs(and she mentions it in interviews). She doesn't just sing what some industry guy hands her.
In no way am I saying she is more talented than Lady GaGa overall(she's not).
But I think she's immensely more talented than you are giving her credit for.

You mean she just sings soulful songs without gimmicks? Gee, what "trick". And, btw, they are not all about "getting dumped" even thought that makes up about half of the soul/r&b catalog of any singer.
Actually, both women are very talented. GaGa has a great voice and is a very good musician who writes good pop songs. Unfortunately, she often allows her "act" to disguise her talent. Trying too hard to follow the Madonna model.
