Great memories indeed.......
BR was a top 5 tour stop back then (until Ossie vs Ozzie). I was 17-18 years old back then and got to see this show and many others. In that same time frame I saw many Hall Of Fame rockers play at LSU and at the brand new Centroplex:
Pink Floyd
ELP
Frank Zappa
Bob Seger
Bad Company
Yes
Genesis
Eagles
Rush
Kiss
Queen
Bruce Springsteen
Aerosmith
Peter Frampton
Boston
Blackmore's Rainbow
David Bowie..............and on and on........

No, it sold out in a few hours. I stood in the freezing rain for 4 hours to get those tickets.

We were extremely lucky to be able to see all those bands. I recently found a box of Ticket Stubs I had saved.........incredible list of shows......
I took my Wife to see Plant/Page in the mid 90's and was blown away again. The included an Egyptian Ensemble and a portion of the N.O. Symphony Orchestra in their show. I really dig some of Plant's recent work with Allison Kraus also..........

Why have they never cashed in on a reunion tour?
Hard feeling between any members? Heard they had a problem with Jon Paul Jones but then see the Foo Fighters show in Wembley where Page and Jones come out to play with them.

Not sure, the Plant/Page show had Jason Bonham on Drums tho and the Bassist from the Cure. That reunion would be a money making tour to say the least!!!

i was there. we camped out for tickets. I think Jimmy Page had a broken finger.

Plant's voice isn't up to par - in par I mean to his level of expectation. The one off gig in London was for the Ertegen tribute/foundation. It's because it was Ahmet. If he hadn't died, that gig would have never happened.
They don't need the money. If they toured, it would be the biggest grossing tour ever and they would make mucho millions - more so than the money ABBA was offered for a reunion tour. Plant knows he can't hit those notes like he did and he places a value on their legacy. I can't fault him and it's good to see he's not just cashing in. Bonham Jr knows their catalog better than the three surviving members. During rehearsals for the London gig, after the set list was decided Bonham would ask Page, "Do you want that song to end like you did in '73 or '77?" Bonham has every available bootleg apparently and would be a great replacement for dad. Plant just doesn't want to do it.
The disagreement with JPJ was in the 90's when Page and Plant went on the road together. JPJ has joked that they must have forgotten his number. All is good between them - Plant just doesn't want to do it.

I mean they can do anything they want. Small tour. Only a few cities. Small venues if they wanted. Acoustic stuff only in theaters. They would not have to try and be 25 again and tour for 14 months at a time.

"It (Life of Brian) was trash before I saw it and it's still trash". OB, after reacting to criticism that he wanted to ban the film without ever seeing it, following his viewing.
Actually, he was a very nice man and I liked him a lot.

That was the '82 Centroplex show that got cancelled, right? Something about "indecency"?
I wonder why Ossie allowed Ozzy to come back the following year and play at the '83 State Fair...

It was 1980 I think and it was because Ozzie had recently bit the head off of a Bat. Plus, the Advocate had just done an article about the AC/DC concert that showed teens passed out everywhere and getting high. Ossie also banned Head Shops and shut down all the after hours bars across the river. I missed my chance to see Randy Roades (sp) because of that. I did get to see Ozzie at the Fair Grounds a couple years later with Jake E. Lee. Ossie had no say in that I guess..................

The 2-28-75 audio boot is pretty easy to find. Google "Rampaging Cajun" and you'll find a lot of blogs with download links.
