All I do is listen to albums.

If the band doesn't have a full album worth of good material, I don't bother.

Some songs don't do anything special for me, and some are right up there vying for GOAT (Subbacultcha, Bird Dreams of Olympus Mons). Planet of Sound is a GOAT for alot of people.

My favorites are Motorway to Roswell, Alec Eifffel, Head On (better than original by a longshot), and U-Mass.

I will say this, Come on Pilgrim, Surfer Rosa, and Doolittle all sound like albums where everything fits together. The last two sound more like a collection of songs. Even if the average song is good to great.

I don't know about a longshot, it's simply different. Much more immediate, vital, raw.
