Its time! Boating etiquette (edited title)

Last week I had several issues at the boat launch with people either taking up the whole launch, loading up their boat then storing gear/strapping down in the middle of the launch, and one guy who was alone put his boat in the water, had a long rope tied to the trailer, pulled his truck up and left his boat floating in the middle of the ramp while he parked.
Im creating this thread for boat ramp discussion. Im gonna request a sticky and hopefully any new visitors/lurkers will learn something. If one person is taught proper etiquette then the boating world is that much better.
Some simple guidelines (feel free to add anything I miss)
Park away from the ramp and have all your business done. Get your bait, ice, groceries and situate them. Unstrap and be prepared so when it is your turn you will not inconvenience others
When others are waiting to load or unload, now is not the time to teach your kid, wife, slam piece, or 90 year old dad to back the trailer down.
If its dark, turn your headlights off
Always assume a launch can fit more than one boat. Walk down, inspect the launch if you are not familiar with it and have a plan. Watch others! You can learn a lot
If the pier is crowded be mindful when you tie up. Consider wind and wave action. If you must cross another's boat, be respectful.
Idgaf about tl;dr and no im not mad, at least not any more.

If everyone followed this it would be a much more peaceful experience for everyone

The only one I see on a routine basis is the tidy up part in the wrong place. Get fully out of the freakin' way!

I'll be the guy yelling "C'mon!" out of my truck window as I wait...

If I have someone with me, I will back the boat away from the dock with the other is parking the trailer. When the guy parking gets there, I'll pull up to the end and pick him up.
I'm normally not at the ramp for more than 2 minutes total.

If you are a male over the age of 12 and you hold the rope while somebody backs it in instead getting in the drivers seat and cranking you permanently have your man card revoked.
Also if the landing is a two vehicle wide landing and you split it down the middle to put your boat people have the right to beat you down.

Put your damn plug in, so you don't sink your shite in the launching zone.

Know if your motor is gonna crank BEFORE you get it in the water.

I had one guy last week ice down fish, clean his boat, store gear, all on the ramp with all $ doors of his truck open. Had to get him to close the doors so I could get down and get my boat.

yeah me too......all my buddies are jackwagons and are scared/can't back it up so i put them in. And if you're in my boat you don't get a damn rope to hold on to. Get in and crank that bitch.

I wear a pink hat at the launch so everyone pays attention to my hat and not my launching skills.

My wife is getting to be pretty good at it. She snakes down the ramp a bit, but only takes up one side in the end.
I launch alone a lot. Always nervous about how much time I take. I go as fast as I can, but am always thinking people are pissed.
When i fished tournaments, we all got to know the regulars pretty well. Often people were meeting their partners at the ramp. Many would just send the boat off empty. There would be 10 or more empty boats just bobbing around waiting for a captain.

I have to get mine lined up and almost to the water. Then she still can get sideways before she launches me
I launch alone alot. Never rush, but Im fast. I have my routine.

Ha...yeah, these are lakes with no current.

If someone comes with me that can't back a boat up, I back it up until the wheels are in the water, jump out, get into the boat, and then let them back up the last 5-10 feet. If they can't do that, then they can't come fish with me.
