What happens if Bees/Cavs/Kings all finish with 20 wins?

Who gets the 3rd through 5th picks?

The ping pong balls get divided evenly and they do coin flips for positioning. I'm not sure how they do a 3 way coin flip, but that's what they supposedly use to figure out your draft order if there is a tie.

We are going to end up falling to 6th. We're 7-3 in our last 10 and the Cavs and Kings are obviously not winning shite.

I'm expecting Gordon to start getting rest now that there aren't any more home games.

What he said. They split combinations.
They would only do the coin flip for all 3 if NONE of them ended up in the top 3, which is unlikely. If two of the teams don't win the lottery then their position in the order is determined by the coin flip. What happens if 3 teams are tied and none get a top 3, I don't know either

Cavs have to play Washington and Kings get the Bobcats, so both teams SHOULD get one more win.
Unfortunately, we play Golden State who makes no bones about not wanting to win to avoid being out of the top 7 (and thus having to give up their pick). However, I don't expect Gordon to play again.

They don't do any sort of head to head or common opponent tie breaker?

I wish, the Kings swept us.
quote:
In the event that teams finish with the same record, each tied team receives the average of the total number of combinations for the positions that they occupy. In 2007, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Portland Trail Blazers tied for the sixth worst record. The average of the 6th and 7th positions in the lottery was taken, resulting in each team getting 53 combinations (the average of 63 and 43). Should the average number not be an integer, a coin flip is then used to determine which team or teams receive the extra combination(s). The result of the coin flip is also used to determine who receives the earlier pick in the event that neither of the tied teams wins one of the first three picks via the lottery.

whatever team WON actually gets more balls

This might be how they handle 3 tied teams rather than a coin flip.

Does Stern get to draw the name out of the hat?

Tied teams split the number of chances and a blind draw determines which team receives an extra chance if the combined number of chances can not be split evenly.

They play the bobcats and the wizards so it is safe to say, either the kings or the cavs will have more than 20 wins
