Asante Samuel For a Fifth or Sixth Rounder - Should we?

With it being reported that the Eagles would do the deal for Samuels for a fifth or sixth rounder (Reported on ESPN a few minutes ago), would it be something the Saints would/should look at?

Nope.

Big contract, very boom or bust player, needs a decent pass rush to really be good.

I don't think Spags values corners as much as GW did. Plus, we haven't signed that Brees guy yet.

We can't take on any burdensome contract until Drew is locked up long term, even then we still have other players on roster we need to think long term on.
