I once spent a good amount of time dating a girl from the northshore. The best part about it?

The restaurants. It is almost as if the northshore is an extension of New Orleans (although a certain, questionable Baton Rouge vibe is invading with The Chimes). Without further ado:

Top 10 Restaurants on the Northshore

10. del Porto- This place goes from underrated to overrated to underrated very quickly. Catch it during on of it's upswings and you are set for a solid four star meal.

9. Keith Young's Steak House
Nothing too special, but it will get the job done.

8. Rip's on the Lake
Home of my favorite tuna steak. Wonderful views of the mighty Lake Pontchartrain as well .

7. Rag's
About as underrated as a neighborhood po boy shop can get. The new owners love the product and customers and it shows. Order the "Herbie" and get ready to get funky. I do wish they still had a pool table.

6. WoW Cafe & Wingery
While many bash this chain , few realize that its Covington location is the flagship. The beer is cold and the wings are hot, so count me in.

5. Bear's
Easily the most well known po boy server in the area, the only thing taking away from Bear's is its strange hours and long lines. The food, however, remains great.

4. Coffee's Boiling Pot
Madisonville's best restaurant and some of the best seafood in the region. It's 1800s pirate theme adds to the ambiance.

3. N Tini's
The only good thing to come from da Parish, N Tini's offers a spectacular surf & turf. Also, as their name implies the drink selection is off the wall. Their popular "Mo Town" nights leave a bit to be desired, as the rich MILFs of Mandeville are known to tease younger men with no intention of fulfillment.

2. La Provence- Besh turned something that was good into something even better. If you have a weak stomach, do not look into the backyard as you can see them "preparing" the lamb.

1. Sal and Judy's
The culmination of New Orleans cuisine, the great Sal Impastato has crafted a truly inspiring food course. From the fried chicken to the tender veal to the stiff drinks, the place is simply a place of legend. I've met both Dan Marino and Peyton Manning in its dining hall, a testament to its greatness and Sal's love of football. Sal will hook you up,mon! Best thing at the restaurant? It's nichols sauce. If you are going to make a trip to the northshore, go to Sal's.

Rag's is dead, too.

Your list sucks in so many ways. But it's still as good as your TulaneLSU's lists.

My list would be:
1. Del Porto
2. La Provence
3. Sal and Judy's
4. Dakota
5. Bear's
6. Keith Young's
7. Gallagher's
8. Cafe Lynn (despite its location)
9. Thai Thai
10. Lola

Honorable mention to Nuvolari's and Water Street Bistro. The food at N'tinis might be good, but I can't get past the cheesy people in shiny shirts.

I'm going to have to check Cafe Lynn out. I have a dark history at that building when it used to be Burger King, and I don't want those vibes coming back, man.

I like top ten lists with explanations much more, and Souljah is not really trolling with his list.

Please don't whack it like the fast food one.

ETA, I don't think I have even eaten at 10 restaurants on the North Shore.

1. Louie and the Red Haired Lady
2. The Chinese buffet on the way back from tubing.
3. Sonic
4. McDonald's
5. A sandwich from On the Run(Exxon)

I enjoy the northshore, but whenever I go out there, its for like a crawfish boil, fish fry, bbq, or something like that.

I know it has good places to eat, I'm just never out there except to visit flighters, or go tubing

My list for that

1. Waynes World
2. Bogue Chitto (Red and Flo's)

Tiki trumps both though.
