Theus is the second best candidate under consideration BY FAR.
Recruiting Class at NMSU
This is an example of what type of recruiter Theus is. He signed a Top 50 prospect from PA and a top 100 prospect from MA at NMSU.
He also won 26 games if I'm not mistaken and took NMSU to the NCAA tournament.
I prefer Dixon, but Theus is not far behind.
Theus would bring a much more exciting brand of basketball than Dixon will bring. He's a run-and-gun type. He also now has NBA head coaching experience, which goes a long way in college basketball coaching.

Don't know the exact meaning, but it keeps it quiet. It'd be incredibly eyebrow raising if we saw Alleva's plane land in Pennsylvania. It keeps us guessing.

In my opinion, Theus is without question a better option than Jones and he's close to Pastner for second choice.
Also, I wouldn't dismiss the Dixon stuff too quickly. The OP was on the right track.
