That is how we got Saban but at 6 AM and the basketball program may be in better shape with more history than the Football program at the time of the Saban hire. LOL

When I was a member of Tigerbait, someone on that board specifically mentioned that Dixon wanted the job after Brady was fired. He was supposedly an in-law of Dixon.
Supposedly he has ties to the area, and he's more interested in the SEC than the blood bath that is the Big East according to the poster several years ago.
Would be an A+++++++++++++++ hire. Actually, all things considered, it might be the most impressive hire LSU has ever made in any sport given the circumstances of where we'd be pulling him from and the state of our basketball program.
At least Alleva isn't dumb enough to hire Johnny Jones. Let the old guard die on the vine, which is exactly what should happen. We don't need any 80 year old hold-overs meddling in our basketball program. If they want to help, fine. They shouldn't expect any of their input to actually be relevant though.

I think he would have to get a Southern guy on his staff to help him get acclimated in the south...he recruits a lot of east coast kids which is easier to get them to Pitt.
