Now that you mention him, I like Cash's version of Hurt better than the original.

I totally agree. I love the song and the video.

I have a ton of other remakes I just cant think of them at the minute. I am having memory loss this morning.

Picking Dylan should be banned in these threads (and I like Dylan's originals). The Byrds probably have two albums worth of great Dylan covers.

Great Call on Richard Thompson. I am a huge fan of his music.

I love the Gourds cover of Gin and Juice.

Halestorm - Bad Romance

It doesn't hurt that I hate Lady Gaga, don't like the original and most importantly that I think that Lzzy Hale is amazing

The Clique's original has an innocence and freshness about it that REM's cover doesn't quite capture. I like both versions.

completely agree. he was a lyrical genius, but his sound isn't for everyone.

Better? not sure, but I like their take on this tune...

Derailers - Raspberry Beret
Derailers - Then She Kissed Me (though The Crystals version is still the best)

Great choice!

Actually Cash did several covers in his last days and I think I like most of them better than the originals.
