So did some of you stop supporting the football team when Curley was coaching?

What makes you say this, his hiring history at LSU?

TJ: Considered a solid hire when he was hired, obviously results haven't followed.

Caldwell: They made the NCAA Tournament again after missing out on it last year

Torina: Still early, but they are looking good (12 game winning streak, ranked in the top 25)

What about that history says a football hire would be a flop?

And it is their fault that no one wanted to watch a inept team

Don't even bother. These people are of the impression that Alleva is an idiot no matter what. TJ was a good hire at the time, but has since failed. Not every good hire at the time turns into a winner and vice versa. Our fans don't understand this.

So re-signing Miles when Michigan was a realistic possibility twice doesn't count? Yeah, because Skip was such a great fricking AD. The guy might have worked two days a week.

Yea, I usually avoid "Alleva is an idiot" talk, but I have seen it more recently and it pisses me off, he's made 3 solid hires, the biggest one just happened to not work out.

It's like signing a contract. You have to look at the stance of the parties when the contract was signed. At the time, it was a very solid hire for us.

Yes and I applaud them. Could you imagine watching that junk for another 3 or 4 years? It took that for Dinardo too. I can remember sitting in Tiger Stadium with a crowd of about 60,000 in his last year.

TJ was definitely a good hire at the time, but if you can't see that it's time to get rid of him, than you're an idiot.

I agree that there is a case to get rid of him, it's def. NCAA or bust this season I'd think.

If these players exit, we might as well.

Basketball is a #3 sport at LSU. When they charge rape fees for football, most people aren't gonna pony up much more for a sport they don't care a lot about. Baseball is #2 here due to success under Bertman and awesome facilities. As long as basketball is mediocre at best, people aren't gonna pay to see it. I don't blame them.

I don't believe that anyone is leaving.

In Trent Johnson we hired a man of integrity, one who has credibility with the NCAA and is guaranteed to run a clean program and graduate student athletes.

He has the support of the administration and is being given the opportunity to bring in quality talent and compete, but without allowing any shady dealings to go on, whatsoever.

This next hire will be the recruiter/motivator we need to bring in top kids and energize the bench.

However, trust that Coach will keep the choke collar on until he fully trusts the process, but we will begin to get much stronger classes and compete at the top of the conference, where we belong.

Hang in there, Tiger basketball fans. Better times lay ahead. And we're going to do this the right way and create a program of which we can all be proud.

Dumbass probably just took the rumors from this board and ran with them to stir the pot and look important.

You're confusing being an LSU sports fan with being an LSU coaching fan. And you're confusing it badly and doing it with arrogance.
A true LSU fan reaches a point in which a team is so poorly coached it reflects so poorly on our university that you have to get the administrations attention in the only area they recognize- money. To an AD the bottom line is not w's and l's it's dollars. A true fan can't tolerate a pathetic representation of their school.

I'm arrogant but you won't turn out to support a team unless the predicate of winning is met first? frick off.
