i've been noticing this
i can't tell you how many bama stickers and flags are now on vehicles. i see at least 1 or 2 a day(around n.o.)
before 1/9, i'd see maybe one every couple months

There have always been pockets of people all over the state that have hated LSU for one reason or another. Some of those are fans of the smaller schools in the state, and that's fine, they need support as well. But some just hate LSU to be contrarians.
Before now, those people were the FSU, Miami, Ohio St, USC fans, and maybe a few other schools, but they were never united. Alabama has become a galvanizing force for the Anti-LSU crowd in-state. All those old Cane and Nole bumper stickers have been replaced by script A's.
It's not any new phenomenon for people in state to do that, what is new is that everyone is pulling in the same direction, and that direction is towards the arm pit of America.

YES. I don't understand the sudden infatuation. I was on the elevator at work the week after 1/9 and overheard some kids talking about how they were no longer LSU fans, that they were now Bama supporters. It's unreal.
But I don't surround myself with these people. If you are a bandwagon fan,

I think you are just more aware of it because you are more likely to notice a Bama sticker right now and fans of the team the wins the title display more championship stuff.
Trust me, if we had won I'd have my LSU NC flag flying outside you my house here in Houston but after the game, I took down my LSU flag down and put up a Texans one
LSU will go back up in August

There was a very good article years ago about people searching for ways to be associated with winners. It was written by a sociology professor at an unnamed university. He discussed certain types of people and certain demographIcs who proudly displayed the colors of the "it" school or professional team who made the individual more worthy. Find the most insecure person you know and he's either a fan of Bama, the NYG, the st. Louis Cardinals....you get the idea.
