Where's Maurepas Foods and Bacchanal? Maurepas is easily the best new restaurant in the 9th Ward. Bacchanal's new kitchen will put it right next to Maurepas in terms of places to eat. You probably needed to spend a little more time researching this neighborhood.

Both, I'm guessing, are way too "hipsterish" for Tulane LSU's tastes.

The introduction clearly states that this survey excludes the Bohemian sections of the 9th Ward, including Bywater and Marigny. The Upper 9th Ward north of St. Claude is considered. The reason is those two neighborhoods are so different from the rest of the 9th Ward and have a large number of restaurants. Those neighborhoods will get their own essay, perhaps.
