About coaching saints. On ESPN sidebar.
Gauged interest in discussing suspension. Contemplating filing appeal. First step, may not go further. Unsure whether decision is up to Payton or management.
If add to staff as HC, must follow Rooney rule. Also not likely to accept.
Per Chris Mortenson
John Clayton adds:
Carmichael prefers to stay offense focused only.
Cromer not interested.
Spags too busy.
Vitt not available until week 7.
Needs an outside coach.

As long as he lets Carmichael and Spags do their thing and he focuses on managing the flow of the game and dealing with the press, this could work.

3 threads started about it in the span of a few minutes. Probably something to it.
Again, I'm fine with Spags or Carmichael handling things, but if Parcells could come in and let the other two focus on their respective sides of the ball, I see it as a win. Just babysit till daddy gets home.

This is highly unlikely IMO. It's more of a sign that they want to go out of house to find a coach

Absolutely this. If he can coach for a year (not replace SP, just fill in with HC duties for a year) I'm all for it. Why the hell wouldn't you want him here. He is a great guy and a great coach

It makes a ton of sense. Parcells does not want spend the time and energy building a team from scratch. All he has to do is steer the ship for a little while. He is kind of like a river pilot that takes over from the captain once it enters the Mississippi. It's not his ship, he is just bringing it in to port.
You could look in house but Carmichael, Spags, and Kromer already have enough on their plates. I like it.

Just more confirmation that this is happening......perhaps.

What would the incentive be for PArcells?
Would it make a SuperBowl win any different this year if PArcells was the head coach?

It would probably make Cowboys fans even more pissed if Parcells won it for the Saints

I wouldn't care for Parcells, even for only 1 year. His FUPA, on the other hand....sign that bad boy up

Yes. frick the cowboys. Also, we have a much better chance with a seasoned veteran HC. Than our DC or OC trying to take on both roles at the same time.
