Casino Royale Nitpick

This is the best Bond movie since the late 60's, but nitpicking is fun. So here goes.
Lechife knew Bond was MI6. Did he know Leiter was CIA? If so, would he go into the game knowing 2 players would probably team up against him?
Lechife cleaned Bond out with his fake tell. Bond buys back in and, being down a BUNCH, is still able to catch up and beat him. That's some awesome poker prowess.

My biggest nitpick is James Bond's constant lip-pouting.

Who knows if Lechife knew that other guy was CIA. From his perspective it was irrelevant because they had nothing on him. As you saw in the movie what ultimately did Lechife in wasn't the CIA or MI6, but those above him in his organization.

Only after the other guy told him Bond knew what his tell was. When Bond first discovered it, he was bluffing and won because he caught a card on the river.

I, too, was bored by the poker scene, and I like poker.
The parkour chase scene at the beginning more than made up for that, though. I laugh imagining Roger Moore trying that.
Overall, I just thought it was OK.

Out of all the Bond Films, the newest Casino Royale was the closest to the book.
This is why I wish in the era of remakes, they would simply start over again- but make the movie the same exact story as the book.
"Moonraker" was a great read. The movie had absolutely nothing to do with the book, other than the character names being intact.
James Bond is not supposed to be the gadget king. He's supposed to be a secret agent with slight gadget use here and there, but more just a real agent that is a tough SOB.
This is why I wish in the era of remakes, they would simply start over again- but make the movie the same exact story as the book.
