I expected ~10 game suspension for Payton, Williams ~1year and heavy fines for all parties. I honestly thought taking picks away wasnt the best approach just bc I think with things like this you should punish the individual culprits and not so much the organization as a whole.
With that said, I'm not at all surprised the punishment is so harsh. Everyone knows Goodell's agenda, he has preached player safety since he became commissioner.
With the facts and studies coming out regarding concussions and injuries, the NFL as we know it is pretty much forced to get safer or all these safety organizations and players are going to come down hard with lawsuits.
And to that I say thank god he is no longer the head coach.
