I love this game as well. I always struggle to keep my damn people happy though gets frustrating. I start steam rolling one of the civs and then I'm forced to stop becuase Ive got to many puppet cities etc.

I currently am sharing a continent with the England and Siam and I'm wiping them both out but have to stop and build courthouses for 30 turns in between attacking 4 or 5 cities. You guys no of a better way?

I've never played any of these, but I've always wanted to. Is it hard to jump right in, or is it easy to figure out?

I would say its very difficult at first, although 5 is pretty much dumbed down from 4. I recommend browsing the civfanatics forums to get an idea of strategies to implement.

You can't take every city from the enemy, it will destroy your ability to fight. I raze every city besides the capital, it still produces unhappiness but it is temporary and limited to how big the city is.
